Keeping up with dates and deadlines can be overwhelming, especially since every school seems to have different application plans. Auburn has three rounds of Early Action this year. Students who apply by September 15 will receive an admissions decision by mid-October. Students who apply by October 15 will receive a decision by mid-November. The final Early Action deadline is December 1, and students will receive a decision by mid-January.
Auburn’s Regular Decision deadline is February 1, and students will receive a decision in early March.
To be considered for merit scholarships, students must have a complete application file by December 1. Students interested in general and departmental scholarships will need to submit the supplemental scholarship application by February 1. Students who are eligible for the Honors College will receive an application to apply after being admitted to Auburn. Deadlines vary and are based on when the student is invited to apply.
LSU has a Priority deadline of December 15, and they release decisions on a rolling basis.
LSU’s Regular Decision deadline is February 1.
To be considered for merit scholarships, students must have a complete application file by December 15. Students are nominated during the admissions process for the Top Merit-Based Scholarships and are invited to compete in late December.
Students interested in the Honors College just need to check the box on their application, and they will be considered for the program.
MSU’s Regular Decision deadline is July 4. Decisions are released on a rolling basis.
All students are automatically considered for merit scholarships if they apply by the deadline. Students can also submit a General Scholarship Application for competitive awards. Students must be admitted before accessing this application, which is due on December 1.
Students who are interested in the Honors College need first to be admitted to MSU. Then they will be able to complete the Honors application, which includes a 500-word essay and two teacher recommendations. The priority deadline is December 1, but students will be considered after this date if space allows.
Texas A&M’s deadline is December 1. However, Engineering students need to apply by October 15.
Students are automatically considered for merit scholarships with their college application and completion of the Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR).
There are several Honors Programs at Texas A&M, and each has its own application process. The University Honors program has a deadline of December 15.
Alabama has a Priority deadline of January 15, and they release decisions on a rolling basis.
Alabama’s Regular Decision deadline is July 4.
To be considered for competitive scholarships, students need to be admitted to the University by January 15. However, students who apply by May 1 will still be eligible for automatic merit awards.
There are several Honors Programs at Alabama, and each has its own application process. The University Honors Program encourages students to apply as soon as possible after admission to the University, and test-optional students should apply no later than March 1 for full consideration.
Arkansas has a Priority deadline of November 1, and they release decisions on a rolling basis.
Arkansas’s Regular Decision deadline is August 1.
To be considered for merit scholarships, students should apply by the priority deadline of November 15. Students must first apply to the University and then submit the supplemental scholarship application available in the New Student Center. However, the final scholarship deadline is February 1.
Students who submit test scores are automatically considered for the Honors College. Each undergraduate college has a different GPA requirement, depending on the SAT/ACT score. Test-optional students with at least a 3.9 GPA will be invited to apply to the Honors College in mid-January, and the application is due February 15. Students will have to write an essay and submit an academic resume.
Florida has one deadline for first-year students, which is November 1. If a student applies after this date, their application will be reviewed, if space is available, until March 1. Decisions are released on February 25.
Students need to complete the Student Self-Reported Academic Record (SSAR) by December 1, and UF must receive your SAT or ACT scores by December 15.
Students are automatically considered for merit scholarships when they apply and will be notified in mid-March.
Students must apply to the Honors Program during the general application process. A student must complete two additional essays, and they cannot access these after they submit their general admissions application.
UGA has an Early Action deadline of October 15, and decisions are released in mid-November.
UGA’s Regular Decision deadline is January 1.
UGA awards the majority of its merit scholarships during the admissions process. However, the most competitive program is Foundation Fellowship, which requires a separate application due November 1.
Students interested in the Honors College and who apply during Early Action will automatically be considered for the program. Those who are not automatically admitted into the program will need to submit a supplemental application, which is due on February 1.
Kentucky’s Early Action deadline is December 1
Kentucky’s Regular Decision deadline is February 15.
To be considered for merit scholarships, students must have a complete application file by December 1. There are automatic, competitive, and selective awards available, and students can apply for college and departmental scholarships after being admitted through ScholarshipUniverse.
Students interested in the Honors College should complete the Honors College Application, embedded in the Kentucky Admissions application. Students must apply by December 1.
Ole Miss has a Priority deadline of January 5 for special programs and scholarships. They release decisions on a rolling basis.
Ole Miss’s Final deadline is July 27.
To be considered for merit scholarships, students must apply to the University and submit the Special Programs and Scholarships Application by February 15.
Students who are interested in the Honors College must submit an additional application. The Early Action deadline for Honors is November 1 (decisions released December 20), and the Regular Decision deadline is January 5.
Missouri has a recommended deadline of November 15 to ensure students can meet the priority scholarship deadline of December 1.
Missouri’s Final deadline is June 1.
Students can apply for general and departmental scholarships after applying to Missouri through ScholarshipUniverse, and the scholarship deadline is January 7.
Students who are interested in the Honors College must submit an additional application by March 1. However, if you are interested in any scholarships or fellowship programs through the Honors College, you should apply by December 1.
South Carolina has an Early Action deadline of October 15, and decisions are released in mid-December.
South Carolina’s Regular Decision deadline is December 1, but you can submit transcripts and supplemental materials until January 15.
South Carolina awards the majority of its merit scholarships during the admissions process. However, students can submit the Honors College/Top Scholars application for the most competitive awards. There are additional essays required, and the application is due November 15.
Tennessee has an Early Action deadline of November 1, and decisions are released in mid-December.
Tennessee’s Regular Decision deadline is December 15.
Tennessee awards most of its merit scholarships during the admissions process, and students will be considered if they apply by December 15. However, students should apply by November 1 to be fully considered for competitive scholarships and Honors & Scholars Programs.
Vanderbilt has an Early DECISION 1 deadline of November 1. Decisions will be released by mid-December, and students must submit an enrollment deposit by December 31. This decision plan is binding.
Vanderbilt also offers Early DECISION II, and the deadline is January 1. Students will hear back by mid-February, and admitted students would need to submit their enrollment deposit by March 1, and this decision plan is also binding.
Vanderbilt’s Regular Decision deadline is January 1, and decisions will be released in late March.
If students are interested in merit scholarships, they must apply to the University and submit a completed scholarship application by December 1. Students do NOT have to apply under an Early Decision plan to be considered for scholarships.
